Superintendent Interim Steve Trimble

Message from Steve Trimble, Superintendent Interim

Steve Trimble

On behalf of the students, staff and Board of Education, welcome to our website. We hope you find information you’re looking for and enjoy learning more about us.

I’m honored to join Floyd County Schools and look forward to continuing the path of success that the district has been building.

We’re excited to continue the CEO program which provides every student with breakfast and lunch at no cost and our Digital Conversion initiative will supply all students in grades 5-12 with a technology device. It’s part of our commitment to do whatever it takes for students to be successful.

We want to exceed last year’s accomplishments of the highest ever ranking on state assessment, district ACT, College and Career Readiness rate, graduation rate and attendance rate. These results are important because they demonstrate more kids are learning at higher levels.

We encourage parents and community members to become more involved in our schools and we appreciate your support. Together, we can make the 2017-2018 school year an outstanding year of education for ALL our students.

DISTRICT GOALS:

  • Top 5 School District
  • CCR rate of 90%
  • Remain fiscally solvent/efficient
  • ACT 19.5
  • KPREP 82
